Dear friends and colleagues, This week's recommendations on conferences and lectures literally take place around the clock: We would like to draw your attention to a nightly virtual book presentation by our Senior Research Fellow Mark Teeuwen, recommend an online conference opening lecture and announce an online workshop. We also invite you to join a special film event tonight at Ost-Passage Theater, and our week's finding points to an interesting long-term study on religious trends. Last but not least we would like to announce KFG's flu vaccination initiative taking place soon. Enjoy and have a good week! |

Flu vaccination in the KFGEven though we are sitting here today in shorts and still enjoy 27 degrees, autumn is approaching with big steps and with it the cold and flu season. Due to the Corona pandemic, flu vaccination is even more sensible this year than usual to protect others and ourselves and to relieve our health system. Leipzig University is therefore again offering to be vaccinated by the in-house physicians. If there are at least 10 people who would like to be vaccinated, the doctors also come to the office. If you are interested in a flu vaccination, please contact us by 28 September at multiple-secularities@uni-leipzig.de and we will arrange an appointment. |

The film presents the real story of resistance of a group of young people who in 2015 faced the army to defend their neighbourhood for 100 days against the Turkish military. It is written based on the diaries of those who died and the testimony of the survivors, who also act in the film. The film will be shown in Kurdish with German subtitles.
