Fellowship Extension for Ahmet Kerim Gültekin

We are happy to announce that the Philipp Schwartz Initiative for threatened foreign researchers (Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, supported by the Federal Foreign Office) has agreed to extend the fellowship for our Associate Ahmet Kerim Gültekin for another year beginning this fall.

Call for Cross-Cultural Collaborations

Andreas Sommer (Department of History and Philosophy of Science University of Cambridge) and Yu-chuan Wu (Institute of History and Philology, Academia Sinica) are keen to start consolidating an international network of historians working on similar topics about religion and the marginalization of the ‘Empirical Occult’ in East Asia and the West. They welcome others to join them and think about possible short- and long-term projects and funding options.

CfP: Hamsa Journal of Judaic and Islamic Studies

The editors of Hamsa Journal of Judaic and Islamic Studies are now accepting proposals for its 7th volume on "Visibility of religious difference in Medieval Europe and the Mediterranean", coordinated by Clara Almagro Vidal (Goethe Universität Frankfurt am Main) and Jörn R. Christophersen (Goethe Universität Frankfurt am Main).
