Screening Religion: Opening film of "拆 chai. Chinese Film Festival"CONFUCIAN DREAM
This month’s Screening Religion movie is also the opening film of the "拆 chai. Chinese Film Festival", taking place in Leipzig from 12 – 15 February. The screening is followed by Q&A with producer Betsy Tsai and buffet from chinabrenner. 12 February, 7 p.m.

Finissage at Bibliotheca Albertina: Magical BooksThe Leipzig University Library houses the "Magica Collection" as a unique collection of 140 manuscripts on the subjects of alchemy, hermetics, astrology and more. It is the largest relevant text corpus in a public library in Europe, which allows a unique view into the world of magical rituals. At the finissage of the exhibition "Magical Books. The Leipzig Magica Collection in the Shadow of Early Enlightenment (Zauberbücher. Die Leipziger Magica-Sammlung im Schatten der Frühaufklärung)" the curator Prof. Dr. Marco Frenschkowski will give a lecture on the further exploration of the collection, followed by a joint visit of the exhibition. The exhibition can be visited during the opening hours of the library at the left hand in the entrance hall. Finissage: 16 February, 3 p.m., Fürstenzimmer
