Today, we would like to remind you that you can register for our final conference Eight Years Multiple Secularities: Outcome and Prospects through the Eyes of our Interlocutors until this Friday – participation is possible on-site and online. We would also like to draw your attention to our colloquium next Wednesday with Tuğçe Özdemir and Nil Mutluer, as well as to two calls for applications for two PhD scholarship programmes.

LAST CALL FOR REGISTRATION: Final KFG Conference | 12–14 October

We look forward to welcoming many guests and seeing old and new friends and colleagues at our final conference Eight Years Multiple Secularities: Outcome and Prospects through the Eyes of our Interlocutors.

Please register for the conference via multiple-secularities@uni-leipzig.de until Friday, 29 September. Most sessions will take place in a hybrid format, on-site and via zoom, please indicate whether you will be attending on-site or online.

Next week’s Colloquium: Tuğçe Özdemir and Nil Mutluer on “Family Imaginations and Experiences in Daily Life” and "From 'Kadın' to 'Hanım': Gender, Family and Youth in the Intersections of Religious, Secular and National during the AKP Era" | 4 October

Next Wednesday, our Associate Members Tuğçe Özdemir and Nil Mutluer, both researchers at the Institute for the Study of Religions at Leipzig University, will give presentations on “Family Imaginations and Experiences in Daily Life” and "From 'Kadın' to 'Hanım': Gender, Family and Youth in the Intersections of Religious, Secular and National during the AKP Era".

The colloquium will take place in a hybrid format (on-site and online). In the Member Area you will find the relevant readings as well as information on the zoom connection data.

​CfA: PhD Scholarships related to Buddhism | LMU Munich

The Doctoral Program in Buddhist Studies at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, Germany offers two PhD scholarships for dissertation projects related to Buddhism for the duration of four years, starting 2024.

CfA: PhD Fellowships on “Metaphor of Religion” | Ruhr-Universität Bochum

The Collaborative Research Center “Metaphors of Religion” at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB) offers several short-term fellowships (3–6 months) for international master’s graduates and PhD students between April and December 2024.
