We will soon add a "Publications" section to our Website. Please keep Judith Zimmermann informed about all your past and future publications relating to the work of the KFG "Multiple Secularities" - especially those closely connected to fellowship projects or other institutional affiliations with the KFG.

Muslim Secularities: Public Keynotes

Our Workshop on "Muslim Secularities" will be framed by two public keynotes:

On 18 June, 6 p.m., Bryan Turner (City University of New York) will give a lecture on "One or Many Modernities? Towards a Macro Sociology of Secularization" at Bibliotheca Albertina, Vortragssaal.

On 19 June, 6:30 p.m. Neguin Yavari (Central European University, Budapest) will talk about "Politics Made in the Medieval Islamic World" (Strohsackpassage, room 5.55).

CfP: Secularities

The GHI Rome organises an international workshop on "Secularities. Freethinkers in the Context of National Movements and the Rise of Nation States in Europe, 1789-1920s" from 21 to 23 March 2018. The theoretical framing of the workshop explicitly refers to the multiple secularities approach.
