Reminder I: Forum Islamicate

On 20 June, Lebanese Author Iman Humaidan and her Translator Regina Krachouli will give a talk at the University of Leipzig Institute of Oriental Studies (IOS) (Schillerstraße 6, room S202). The talk  will be held in German and Arabic.

Reminder II: Muslim Secularities

From 18 to 20 June our workshop on "Muslim Secularities" will take place. The non-public workshop will be framed by two public keynotes:

Bryan Turner: "One or Many Modernities? Towards a Macro Sociology of Secularization" (18 June, 6 p.m., Bibliotheca Albertina).

Neguin Yavari: "Politics Made in the Medieval Islamic World" (19 June, 6:30 p.m., Strohsackpassage, Room 5.55).
