Article about Indian secularismOur colleague Rajeev Bhargava has today published an interesting article in The Hindu on 'The Future of Indian Secularism', which we can only recommend.
"I suggest two crucial moves to kick-start the discourse and practice of secularism. First, a shift of focus from a politically-led project to a socially-driven movement for justice. Second, a shift of emphasis from inter-religious to intra-religious issues."

Japan (online) Filmfest HamburgElisabeth told us about the 21st Japan Filmfest Hamburg, which will take place online this year. Here you can watch the festival trailer. All films can be watched in the online stream between 19 August and 02 September. Tickets for the streams can be purchased online. In addition to the films they also offer documentaries and live interviews with filmmakers on YouTube.

Live music in the Botanical Garden"Summertime - Musik im Garten" is an open air concert series over the summer months in the beautiful garden ambience of the Botanical Garden of the University of Leipzig. The concerts take place every Sunday at 3 pm - and only in good weather of course (because everything takes place in the open air). This Sunday, the Leipzig duo Bossa Nova (guitar and percussion) will play.
