Happy New Year!

The KFG "Multiple Secularities" wishes a happy new year to all colleagues and associates!

 

Welcome and Farewell

The new year brings a new face to the KFG: We are happy to welcome Neguin Yavari who will join us as Senior Research Fellow this week. She will stay in Leipzig until the end of July 2018 and work on a project on "The Lost Political in Medieval Islamic Thought".

On the other hand, our two Indonesian Research Fellows, Muchamad Ali Safaat and Muktiono have almost reached the end of their residency, they will leave on 15 January. We wish you all the best for the future and hope for more fruitful  cooperations to come!

 

Law and Religion Case Study Archive

The "teaching law & religion case study archive" hosted by Northwestern University is a "digital repository providing legal documents, analyses, and teaching resources for teaching religion and law. The modules below contain summaries and documents to help teachers and students analyze legal cases from around the world." The provided material might be of interest for the research on multiple secularities.

Public Talk on Man and his Body in Chinese Religions

Dr. Marc Nürnberger (LMU, Munich) will give a public talk titled "Der Mensch und sein Leib im 'Leitfaden der Klarheit und Stille'" at the Konfuzius-Institut Leipzig (Otto-Schill-Straße 1) on 15 January, 6 p.m. Starting from one of the holy texts of Daoism, Nürnberger will elaborate on the relationship between man and his body in the three big religions of China. The talk will be held in German.
