Summary from the KFG's retreatOn 14 and 15 November, we met at Schloss Machern for the KFG's second retreat. The idea was, to formulate preliminary results of the research that has been done so far and to identify desiderata as well as to develop further theoretical aspects we shall focus on in the future. Workshop: Transnational Religious SpacesThe SFB 1199 and the Centre for the Study of Religion will host a workshop on Transnational Religious Spaces: Religious Organizations and their Interaction in Africa, East Asia and Beyond from 12 to 14 December 2018 (Strohsackpassage, room 5.55). The workshop consists of two parts, in order to combine regional expertise on African and East Asian religious organizations on the one hand, with transregional and theoretical approaches on the other hand.

Winter BreakFrom 22 December 2018 to 1 January 2019, the KFG will be on winter break. The staff will not be present, emails will be answered from 2 January on. |

Research DayOn 7 December, the Institute for Anthropology will host its first biannual "Anthropology Research Day". Junior Researchers from Leipzig will present their latest projects. The event will start at 1 pm at Schillerstraße 6 Room S202.
