The next Eranos will take place on 26 April.

Theft

Unfortunately, all projects on our floor have been affected by cases of theft again in the recent past. Please make sure to lock your office doors and keep the main doors to the elevators closed at all times. The facility manager has reported a recent case of someone pretending to belong to the cleaning staff to gain access to our floor, he emphasised that all regular staff has keys - please do not let unauthorised people in.

Conference Report

Sana and Tarek have visited the conference "Islam, Knowledge, Power – Interactions from a theological and historical perspective" in Fribourg (Switzerland) on 22 and 23 February 2017. Their conference report is now online in our Bulletin.

    Conference Report

CfP: From Reformation to Reformations

This conference aims to contribute to the developing field of cross-cultural religious and cultural studies by analyzing the cultural, political and linguistic uses of the ‘Reformation’ in the modern era, from circa 1800 until the present day. The focus of this conference will be primarily on (post-)modern uses of the ‘Reformation’ outside the strict context of  Protestant theology, but in various other religious traditions and societies. The conference will be held at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam on 20-21 September 2017. The conference proceedings will be published by Brill Academic Publishers in their double blind peer reviewed Church History and Religious Culture Series. Deadline for abstracts: 1 May 2017.
